It’s that time of the year when it becomes the land of the locals in the sense that the summer tourists leave and life gets a little simpler. Our summer social calendars let up, the air is crisper, the traffic less congested, and we begin to relish again in the little things that remind of us of why we choose to live where we do. One of my favorite local activities is going to the Jane Pickens Theater for a film. The theater is the only theater in downtown Newport, an iconic landmark that was originally built in 1834 as a church.
On a raw New England evening, what could be better than a film, and perhaps a dinner enjoyed at Stoneacre Brasserie just across the park before the movie!
