Recently I have teamed up  with Ross Cann of A- Four Architecture to get creative and problem solve in Portsmouth. The challenge was to create a single family dwelling in multi family space. Connecting two sides and making it feel like one. This Eastover neighborhood is one of the most serene locations off Wapping Rd. in Portsmouth. What I love about the advanced technology in Architectural drawings is how simple it is to move a wall or change a window and virtually see the difference in the space immediately with a click of the mouse. Take a look at this conceptual plan changing two into ONE!

Freckles are a distinguishing facial characteristic usually seen on the fair-skinned Irish. We find freckles to be beautiful and unique - and in honor of our lovely Heather Hinckley’s one year anniversary at LKRE, we’ve decided to dedicate a blog post to these fantastic beauty marks.  Scientifically speaking, freckles are essentially clusters of melanin which tend to deepen with sun exposure. Those blessed with the freckle trait must be extra careful in the summer months to protect their skin due to extreme sensitivity to UV rays. Interestingly enough, when we flip through the pages of Vogue, Bazaar and W, we find a shortage of freckled faces which we believe is a true shame. We’d like to celebrate the distinctive feature of freckles- to rejoice over stepping outside of the mold and to embrace individuality!

The annual Cluny Fair will be this Sunday afternoon at Cluny School. It has been a tradition of Cluny School for over 45 years. The Rain or Shine event includes raffles, silent auction, a huge yard sale along with games, prizes, great food and the famous Corkboard. The Cluny Fair benefits Cluny School, an independent Catholic elementary school, serving students of all faiths and nationalities since 1957.  A Cluny School Alum, Libby will certainly be there this weekend along with several others from the LKRE team. Plus, our own Sarah Kirwin will be performing with her band Ripcord Bettys at 10:45am which is an act you won’t want to miss!  We hope you can come support this wonderful event!
