This morning was buzzing with excitement as St. Georges opened their gates to welcome guests into the Newport Antiques Show. Kicking off the morning was the Design Salon which was opened up by our fearless leader, Libby Kirwin. Later, speakers like the dynamic Ally Coulter and Ted Goodnow from Woodmeister Master Builders.

Ted spoke about Woodmeister’s preservation/restoration work within Newport’s Miramar which was over the top amazing and also touched upon a local home they built which boasted a unique Captain’s Winter Porch as inspired by a house seen on Pelham Street in downtown Newport. We learned that Woodmeister has paramount skill and craftsmanship and we highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to make some changes to their home!

Next, Ally Coulter went through some of her captivating projects ranging from private homes in Manhattan to locations in Los Angeles and the Hamptons. Ally showed us some astounding before and after shots of her work which you can see on Ally’s website.  Overall the salon was educational and entertaining. We encourage you to check it out this weekend!
