After finishing college in 2002 with a degree in jewelry design under her belt, Josie Hewitt stepped out onto the sunny streets of Boston, MA with a pink patent leather suitcase filled with one-of-a-kind earrings, necklaces and bracelets. It was then that she decided that she would be a fabulous jewelry designer catering to the social ladies shopping on Newbury and the prepster gals on Bellevue Avenue in Newport, RI. Josie, aka “JoJo” started small, selling to friends and family until her persistence landed her gems in several chic boutiques in Boston like the Beauty Mark and Holiday. From those two stores, JoJo’s brand “JoJo Loves You” expanded tremendously and today is carried in over 100 stores across the country. Everything is still handmade by JoJo in her South End studio and showroom, however now she’s got an amazing staff to assist with her growing demand. JoJo and her hubby Jon just welcomed a new addition to the business- a baby boy named William who is sure to please future girlfriends with many sparkly gifts!
